In fields such as medicine, optical communications, semiconductors, and laboratories, where temperature control is crucial, an efficient, stable, and intelligent temperature control system is crucial for ensuring proper equipment operation and process accuracy. FerroTec recently launched the FCCA18241-A201, a compressor-based  rack mount type air-cooled chiller suitable for a variety of applications requiring high-precision temperature control.

Rack mount type Chiller FCCA18241-A201

1. Does not take up space

The chiller can be installed directly in a standard rack (such as a 19-inch cabinet), eliminating the need for additional room or floor space, making it ideal for space-constrained environments. Furthermore, the system supports parallel installation of multiple units, flexibly matching the cooling needs of various cabinet types.

2. Efficient cooling capacity

The chiller is equipped with a high-lift pump that achieves an output pressure of 0.4 MPa at a circulating fluid flow rate of 16 L/min, ensuring stable liquid delivery. When delivering 20°C circulating fluid (ambient temperature 25°C, power supply 220V 60Hz), the maximum cooling capacity reaches 1.7 kW, fully meeting the cooling capacity requirements of high-power equipment.

 

3. High-precision temperature control capability

The chiller achieves ultra-high temperature control accuracy of ±0.1°C , with a temperature adjustment range of 5°C to 40°C. Equipped with a thermistor (RTD), it monitors the inlet and outlet temperatures in real time. Combined with temperature compensation, it effectively offsets heat loss during long-distance transportation, ensuring the circulating fluid temperature remains stable and reliable throughout the entire process.

 

4.Precise control system

The chiller's built-in flow meter and pressure sensor, combined with an adjustable bypass valve, enable precise control of circulating fluid flow and pressure. The user interface displays real-time operating data, allowing users to monitor system status and quickly respond to abnormal situations.

 

5.Pre-maintenance design

The system adopts a front maintenance design. All key components, including the filter, water supply port, drain port, DI filter, primary filter and bypass valve, can be operated and maintained through the front panel. Detailed operation steps include:

①Injection and discharge of circulating fluid

②Real-time liquid level viewing

③Filter cleaning

④Flow and pressure regulation

⑤Filter element replacement, etc.

 

6.PID automatic tuning

The system supports PID automatic tuning function, which can quickly reach a stable state in different temperature ranges and improve temperature control efficiency.

 

7.Support remote management

The system supports remote/local mode switching. In local mode, users can operate directly through the control panel; in remote mode, users can control the device through the network or other remote communication methods.

 

8.Multiple security protection mechanisms

The chiller is equipped with multiple safety protection mechanisms, including over-temperature protection, no liquid/low liquid level protection, pump overload protection, low flow protection, leakage protection, sensor abnormality protection, emergency shutdown protection, etc., to ensure the safe operation of the equipment throughout the entire process.
